Victor Vazquez – Winner of the Wisconsin-Puerto Rico Partnership for Research and Education in Materials Science (PREM) Scholarship Program

Victor Vazquez- The Wisconsin-Puerto Rico Partnership for Research and Education in Materials Science (PREM) Scholarship program aims to develop and nurture talented students in STEM disciplines. Victor Vazquez is a former member of PREM, who is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Immunology at the University of Pennsylvania. He is a recent graduate of the University of Puerto Rico Rio Piedras campus, where he was recognized for his academic excellence in biology and earned the Academic Excellence Award in the biology department. He has a passion for research and has participated in many workshops and projects.

Vic is a student at Elevate Phoenix

Victor is a student at Elevate Phoenix, a nonprofit organization for inner-city youth in Phoenix, Arizona. After school, he helps with tutoring and participates in community service projects. He is a leader in school and strives to be the best person he can be.

Vic is a casting director

Vic Vazquez is a Casting Director who is currently based in Burbank, United States. He is the founder of X Casting and is the Lead Casting Director for the company. He has worked with many theater companies such as the Center Theatre Group, Signature Theatre, Tectonic Theatre Project, Audible Theatre, Timberland, Desus & Mero, and Repertory Theatre of St. Louis.

In addition to his role as a casting director, Vazquez also has experience as an adjunct professor of acting at the Tisch School of the Arts. His credits include casting Tony-nominated directors and actresses such as Anna Deavere Smith. He was also the resident casting director of Arena Stage for three seasons. During this time, he oversaw more than 25 productions and 26 new play/musical workshops. He was also a Casting Director for the ACLU/NYCLU Singing Out For Freedom benefit and has taught Anti-Racist theater at the Carnegie Mellon School of Drama.

Vazquez is a social activist and a casting director with a mission to redefine casting. He teaches acting majors how to think like a professional casting director. His mission is to make casting inclusive and socially conscious.

Victor Vazquez, a former member of PREM, is currently studying Immunology at the University of Pennsylvania. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras campus, and an Academic Excellence Award in Biology. Victor has a passion for research and has participated in multiple projects and workshops related to his field.
